The Director: US Retail Portfolio, New Brand Readiness & Enablement Marketing Lead will develop customer-centered strategies to support the growth of Pfizer’s Primary Care Portfolio, particularly in the Retail Channel, by collaborating with brand teams and managing marketing resources.


Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and tactical execution of retail channel-specific portfolio resources and pull-through programs that align with cohesive brand strategy, supported by timely and robust metrics to optimize execution and achieve goals
  • Collaborate with cross-channel brand teams and Retail brand marketers to identify opportunities for synergies and ensure positioning, strategy, and messaging are consistent across the brand and channel
  • Provide Marketing leadership and strong collaboration with the Retail CFCs to ensure strategic and tactical alignment, as well as incorporate Retail Pharmacy Team (RPT) insights into marketing programs and tactics
  • Champion the development and implementation of annual operating and tactical plans that drive the short- and long-term retail strategy
  • Work with Retail Account Management and Trade Account Director Lead, as well as Retail Brand Marketers to prioritize strategy and activation plan for Retail CFC organizations
  • Lead and manage critical projects to advance organizational effectiveness in a dynamic customer environment and across customers of US Vaccines
  • Translate behavioral insights into compelling retail strategies that strengthen Pharmacist conviction and consumer education around Brand disease focus
  • Identify and understand complex drivers of pharmacist and consumer behavior across multiple dimensions, including vaccine awareness, disease perception, and recommendation dynamics
  • Initiate the development of retail channel resources and pull-through programs aligned to a cohesive new brand strategy
  • Champion pull-through of all major US Vaccines goals and culture initiatives
  • Continue the innovative and agile spirit of the team
  • Actively participate in fostering positive team culture and collaboration across the team.
  • Participate in external customer meetings
  • Maintain a promotional calendar in partnership with brand leads across the Retail segment
  • Help to develop summary briefs to initiate new projects via Workfront/GCMA
  • Lead or support congress planning for retail and the execution booth and tactics
  • Supports Field Force engagement, resource deployment and POA efforts as needed
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members to optimize each programs’ messaging and drives cohesion across all brand tactics and touchpoints

Skills

  • Minimum 8 years’ commercial/marketing experience is required including US pharma experience
  • Strong familiarity with US retail pharmacy market landscape with experience in identifying unmet needs for pharmacists as well as consumers/patients using pharmacy services
  • Good understanding of retail pharmacy workflow, as well as pharmacist and pharmacy technician education/training-specific needs and processes
  • Experience in developing initiatives to effectively engage and educate retail pharmacy patients/consumers in disease areas of focus that support activation
  • Demonstrated innovation champion, seeks learnings from other brands and other industries to innovate and enhance launch plans
  • Demonstrated matrix leadership and ability to foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork
  • Established business acumen and pharma industry/vaccines business knowledge
  • Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact
  • Recent Retail marketing experience or Retail field accounts management experience preferred
  • Experience with vaccines or other buy/bill business models preferred

Education Requirements

  • BA or BS required; MBA or advanced degree in a related field preferred
