We are actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Tax Director to oversee our company's tax planning, compliance, and advisory services. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the company's tax strategy and ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations. This role requires a deep understanding of international and corporate tax laws, excellent business development skills, and a proven ability to lead and train a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies for the company and its clients.
  • Oversee the preparation and filing of all tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, federal, and international tax laws and regulations.
  • Provide expert tax advisory services to the company and its clients.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of tax returns and other financial documents to identify potential tax risks and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and decision-making.
  • Lead business development initiatives to attract new clients and expand the company's tax services.
  • Train and supervise a team of tax professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Represent the company and its clients in tax audits and negotiations with tax authorities.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate these changes effectively to the team and clients.

Qualifications:

  • Active CPA license is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in tax planning, compliance, and advisory services, including at least 2 years of experience representing clients in tax audits and negotiations.
  • Extensive knowledge of local, state, federal, and international tax laws and regulations.
  • Proven experience in business tax planning and corporate tax.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective tax planning strategies.
  • Strong business development skills, with a proven track record of attracting new clients and expanding tax services.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with experience in training and supervising a team of tax professionals.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to review financial documents for tax risks and opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to represent the company and its clients effectively in tax audits and negotiations.
