About the Role:

We are seeking for Senior iOS Developer (Swift) to support and maintain a mobile application in the insurance industry. This is a long-term, freelance full remote part-time engagement (approx. 20–30 hours/month), ideal for senior professionals with availability during standard business hours on weekdays.

The project begins around July 1st, with an initial 2–3 week code review and technical assessment phase, during which we expect a thorough evaluation of the existing codebase. If major issues are found (e.g., poor architecture or risky technical debt), your feedback will directly inform planning and budgeting for refactoring.

After the initial assessment, the role transitions into a maintenance and support phase, with potential for feature development based on client needs.

\ Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience with iOS development using Swift.
  • Deep understanding of iOS architecture, testing, and app lifecycle.
  • Experience reviewing and refactoring existing codebases.
  • Ability to work autonomously and respond promptly when needed.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent Lithuanian and English language skills.
Nice to have:
  • Experience in mobile app projects for the insurance, banking, or utility industries.
  • Familiarity with Jira and structured incident management.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct in-depth code reviews of the existing iOS application.
  • Identify potential architectural or quality issues, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Take part in planning potential refactoring work, if necessary.
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance, including bug fixes and stability improvements.
  • Ensure timely response and resolution based on incident severity levels:
  • Critical: Respond within 1 hour, resolve within 4 hours
  • High: Respond within 4 hours, resolve within 8 hours
  • Medium: Respond within 8 hours, resolve within 16 hours
  • Low: Respond within 24 hours, resolve within 48 hours
  • Participate in business-hours-only on-call rotation (weekdays only, no weekends or after-hours).
