Job Title: Director of Quality & Compliance – Apparel
Location: Onsite at 5553 Bandini Blvd, Bell, CA 90201, transitioning to our new Beverly Hills, CA (90210) office in Q1 of 2026
Employment Type: Full-Time, Onsite


About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Director of Quality & Compliance to lead all quality assurance and product compliance efforts across our global apparel programs. This role is responsible for developing and enforcing scalable quality systems, maintaining rigorous compliance standards, and overseeing factory audit programs for both licensed and private brands—including our high-volume Club Division business with Costco and Sam’s Club. You will lead a cross-functional team focused on continuous improvement, risk mitigation, and ensuring products meet customer and regulatory expectations from development through final delivery.


Key Responsibilities:




  • Quality Assurance Strategy: Develop and oversee quality assurance programs, standards, and inspection processes across all product categories; ensure systems are consistent, measurable, and aligned with company and customer expectations




  • Compliance Oversight: Own all aspects of product compliance—including factory audits, social and environmental standards, restricted substance testing (RSL), labeling, packaging, and safety regulations; act as the primary contact for brand licensors, customers, and 3rd-party testing partners




  • Vendor & Factory Audits: Evaluate, onboard, and monitor factory partners globally; manage CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) processes, enforce accountability, and track improvement over time




  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Quality Assurance and Compliance professionals across geographies; implement training and performance standards to build a high-functioning, globally connected team




  • Club Program Compliance: Ensure all products for Costco, Sam’s Club, and similar Club accounts meet strict labeling, testing, packaging, and safety requirements; manage timelines and documentation to avoid shipment delays




  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with Sourcing, Production, Design, and Product Development teams to ensure quality is built in from the earliest stages of development




  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain all testing records, audit logs, and corrective action documentation; prepare internal and external reporting as required by licensors, customers, and regulatory bodies




  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in inspection, testing, or audit workflows and implement solutions to reduce risk, improve efficiency, and drive best-in-class standards




Skills & Qualifications:




  • Experience: Minimum of 15 years in apparel quality assurance and compliance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing global teams and vendor networks




  • Industry Expertise: Strong knowledge of apparel manufacturing, factory audits (WRAP, BSCI, Sedex, etc.), CPSIA, RSL/chemical testing, fit/finish quality, and regulatory compliance in both U.S. and international markets




  • Club & Licensed Brand Experience: Direct experience managing compliance for Club retailers (Costco, Sam’s Club) and licensed apparel brands such as GAP, Banana Republic, Woolrich, or similar




  • Leadership: Demonstrated success leading distributed teams, developing global SOPs, and enforcing consistent standards across geographies




  • Technical Tools: Proficient in PLM systems (Centric preferred), Excel, and quality tracking platforms; experience working with 3rd-party labs and audit services




  • Communication: Clear, professional communication skills with the ability to influence internal teams and navigate complex vendor/customer relationships




  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field




Location Notice:
This is a full-time, onsite role based at our current headquarters in Bell, CA. In Q1 of 2026, we will relocate to our new corporate office in Beverly Hills, CA (90210). Candidates must be able to work onsite at both locations.

At FAM Brands, we are committed to fair and transparent compensation. Salary ranges for positions are based on job level, location, and market data. We offer competitive benefits and are dedicated to equal pay for equal work. Specific salary offers depend on each candidate’s qualifications and experience. FAM Brands also offers all employees participation in our annual bonus program (Non-Sales) or commission program (Sales).

Compensation Range

$150,000 - $185,000 USD
