About the team

Our Product Management – Platform and Services team builds the foundational capabilities behind Dexcom’s ecosystem of applications and experiences—where medical device rigor meets digital innovation. We operate at the intersection of customer experience, clinical expertise, AI insights, interoperability, and Software as a Medical Device (SaMD), delivering scalable solutions that support both regulated and non-regulated modules.

About the role

As Product Manager, you drive execution and contribute to planning the design and delivery of services that detect risk, trigger appropriate responses, and support safe, effective therapy decisions. It starts with alerts but expands into adjacent areas that help patients manage their condition confidently and proactively, while enhancing provider clinical decision making. You’ll work closely with engineering, clinical, regulatory, and data science teams to ensure solutions are safe, effective, and globally scalable.

What you’ll do

  • Strategy & Prioritization: Drives execution and contributes to planning the roadmap for patient safety and clinical support services, becoming the subject matter expert on clinical risk and safety workflows. Identify prioritize, and refine opportunities that deliver the greatest value for providers, patients, and Dexcom’s business objectives.
  • Workflow Optimization: Design and evolve modular solutions that detect clinical risks and enable proactive response. Stay curious and responsive to emerging needs and translate them into scalable, intuitive product capabilities. Embrace ambiguity and complexity as opportunities to innovate, simplify, and deliver meaningful impact where it is most needed.
  • Microservices Development: Define configurable, modular services that power patient and provider experiences across Dexcom’s global ecosystem, driving reuse and consistency.
  • Data Integration: Identify key data inputs and support integration efforts to AI-driven insights.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with engineering, clinical, regulatory, legal, commercial, data science and other teams to deliver safe, compliant, and globally scalable solutions.
  • Experience Alignment: Ensure insights are surfaced in intuitive, meaningful ways that support user goals and drive engagement.
  • Evidence-Driven Innovation: Collaborate with research and clinical teams to incorporate AI, clinical decision support and alerts responsibly and validate impact through evidence-based insights.
  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor usage, gather feedback from providers and internal stakeholders, and iterate to improve usability, adoption, and clinical effectiveness.

What We’re Looking For

  • Product Management Background: 5+ years of experience in product management or a closely related role, ideally within healthcare, digital health, or enterprise software within a regulated environment.
  • Workflow Simplification: Demonstrated success translating complex clinical or operational workflows into intuitive, scalable digital solutions—reflected in shipped products or platform features.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience partnering with engineering, design, clinical, regulatory, legal, and commercial teams to deliver compliant, high-impact solutions.
  • Regulated Environment Expertise: Hands-on experience working in regulated domains such as Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) or HIPAA-compliant platforms, where safety, compliance, and data integrity are critical.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SaMD & Clinical Decision Support: Experience contributing to the development of Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) or Clinical Decision Support (CDS) tools, including involvement in regulatory submissions or validation processes.
  • AI/ML in Healthcare: Applied knowledge of artificial intelligence and machine learning in clinical contexts, with experience addressing bias, transparency, and evidence-based validation.
  • Privacy & Interoperability Standards: Familiarity with healthcare data standards and regulations such as the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR).
  • Global & Enterprise Scale: Experience supporting international or enterprise-scale products, including localization, regional compliance, and multi-market deployment.
  • Architecture Awareness: Exposure to modern software architectures such as microservices, APIs, and cloud-native platforms, and understanding how these influence product scalability, performance, and compliance.
  • Platform Integration & Technical Fluency: Experience defining product requirements for clinical workflows and data-driven services, Familiarity with how product decisions interface with data pipelines, application programming interfaces (APIs), and modular service architectures.
  • Systems-Level Product Thinking: Demonstrated ability to design modular, reusable product components or workflows that scale across platforms, user types, and geographies.
  • Data-Driven Product Development: Experience using analytics, performance metrics, and user feedback to inform product decisions and drive continuous improvement.

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8-12 years of related experience.
  • At this level a graduate degree may be desirable with 4 years of related experience

Remote Workplace: Your location will be a home office; you are not required to live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km). If you reside within commuting distance of a Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km) a hybrid working environment may be available. Ask about our Flex workplace option.
