You will research and facilitate manufacturing new and replacement Entertainment costumes while collaborating with some of the industrys top talent. The Costumer must be able to communicate direction and concepts to multiple levels of Cast Members. This role will require travel onboard, including international to support or global fleet of ships/islands.</p><p></p><p>The Costumer will report to the Area Manager - Costume Production.</p><p></p><p>This is a Full-Time role.</p><p></p><p><b>What You Will Do:</b></p><ul><li><p>Partner with Entertainment and Costuming Operations to maintain costume quality and design</p></li><li><p>Produce estimates, lead timelines & budgets</p></li><li><p>Work with the Designer to identify fabrics, trims, and all garment accessories factoring in climate, safety, and functionality</p></li><li><p>Coordinate fittings with Entertainment and Workroom personnel</p></li><li><p>Document Costumes and Production processes in various formats for history and analysis</p></li><li><p>Source new vendors for materials and finished goods and attend trade shows to keep up on the cutting edge of costume production</p></li><li><p>Monitor show quality through Cast feedback and periodic assessments. Give directions on how to clean costumes, set up lines, etc.</p></li><li><p>Interface daily with Entertainment Show Producers, Directors, Designers, and Entertainment and Costuming Operations Leaders</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Required Qualifications & Skills:</b></p><ul><li><p>Minimum one year of experience in Theatre, Film, Live Entertainment, Fashion, or related field</p></li><li><p>Minimum one year of experience working with garment construction and textiles</p></li><li><p>Ability to work in a physically demanding role that requires lifting to 50 lbs. as well as frequent climbing, squatting, and standing for long durations of time</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of project/production management lifecycle</p></li><li><p>Experience developing and maintaining a budget</p></li><li><p>Skilled in costume documentation</p></li><li><p>Previous experience in purchasing apparel-related items</p></li><li><p>Proven ability to thrive in a collaborative team setting</p></li><li><p>Skilled in planning, problem-solving, conflict resolution, influencing, and negotiating (written and verbal communication)</p></li><li><p>Ability to work around all types of fabrics, fibers, and synthetic furs </p></li><li><p>Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time</p></li><li><p>Schedule availability to work flexible hours including weekends, nights, and holidays</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Preferred Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li><p>Previous leadership experience</p></li><li><p>Skilled in using PLM and purchasing software</p></li><li><p>Experience working in a warehouse environment</p></li><li><p>Multilingual  </p></li><li><p>Valid Passport or willingness to obtain one</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Education:</b></p><ul><li><p>High School diploma or equivalent required</p></li><li><p>Advanced degree in Costuming, Costume Design, Textiles, Theater, Fashion Merchandising, Fashion Design, Fine Arts, or related field preferred</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Additional Information:</b></p><p>Benefits and Perks: Disney offers a rewards package to help you live your best life.
