Associate System Administrator
POSITION PURPOSE
The Associate System Administrator position is responsible for handling escalated complex software/hardware issues, accurately documenting issues, resolutions, and collaborating with other non-technical groups to solve complex business problems. The Associate System Administrator should be able to handle a technical project from start to finish with minimal assistance from the IT Infrastructure Manager or peers. Such troubleshooting may include complex software applications and hardware issues quickly and effectively, via phone, email, remote access, and in person.
ORGANIZATION
This position reports to the IT Infrastructure Manager.
*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS*
- Supply and deploy technical solutions to business problems
- Excellent customer support to all users within the organization
- Provide advanced hardware and software support to business users both locally and remote via phone, email, chat, and remote tools
- Minimal End user administration via escalation from the Support Supervisor
- Installation and configuration of workstations, printers, network switches and WAPs
- Moderate to Advanced Support of Office 365, Adobe Applications, Remote Citrix, Microsoft Intune, included but not limited to, SCIM provisioning, Cloud application security, and modifying base configuration policies to support NIST , NIST 800.53, and HIPAA security frameworks
- Support and administer Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions, including Microsoft Intune, to ensure governance, secure deployment, configuration, and management of mobile devices across the organization
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to mobile devices, Intune policies, and application deployments for both local and remote users.
- Work closely with the IT Infrastructure Manager to ensure issue tracking and proper assignment of tasks is being completed daily
- Provide On-Call support as necessary
- All other duties as assigned
*KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE*
- 3-5-year work experience in providing outstanding customer service through technical support of both software and hardware in a professional office environment
- High Knowledge and proficiency of Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Adobe, and other SAAS applications
- Moderate Knowledge of network configuration and equipment
- Advanced hardware and software troubleshooting skills
- Azure Active Directory and Microsoft PowerShell experience required. At least 3 years of regular use of AD Users and Groups in providing normal AD administration
- Preferred Certifications of Microsoft 365 Fundamentals (MS-900) and/or Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) certification is required or highly certification desirable.

MACHINES & EQUIPMENT
The incumbent must be able to effectively operate the current computer system, telephone system, and other office machines such as a copier.
*PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*
The work is primarily sedentary. However, there may be some physical demands. Requirements include prolonged walking, standing, sitting, bending, and lifting less than twenty-five pounds.
MACHINES & EQUIPMENT
The incumbent must be able to effectively operate the current computer system, cloud architecture, telephone system, and other office machines such as a copier.
*PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*
Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds. Must be able to talk, listen, and speak clearly on the telephone.
WORKING CONDITIONS
The incumbent works in an office environment that is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions such as heat, cold, or extreme noise. Routine periods of being on the phone utilizing a headset, sitting and data keying are required. Periodic times working at the office site may be required.
Security and privacy training will be provided as part of this role to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of PCS' associate and customer data.
