Job Description:

The General Store Associate job role requires conducting multiple duties that range from organizing merchandise and restocking products to managing the cashier's desk, all while prioritizing the store's cleanliness. By working harmoniously with the ALDI team, the General Store Associate provides top-notch customer service.

  • Position Type: Full-Time
  • The standard workweek is comprised of 32 to 40 hours of labor

Work Responsibilities:

The employee should be able to complete work tasks with or without a reasonable adjustment.

  • Continuously improve upon the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) by learning new skill sets, receiving constructive feedback, and implementing new methods.
  • To effectively organize the store, sales associates have to carry out customer checkouts, perform cleaning tasks and ensure that the shelves accommodate merchandise in an orderly fashion
  • Customers tend to feel more at ease when they know that they can rely on staff members to provide them with exceptional service and assistance
  • Effective collaboration among team members and clear communication with the store management team can lead to success
  • In order for management to maintain control over operations, it is important that they are kept informed on any issues that arise pertaining to products, inventory losses, scanning inaccuracies, and other concerns
  • Stick to inventory counting instructions and supervise the precision of inventory records
  • Stricter adherence to cash policies and procedures is necessary to avoid financial loss
  • Upholds company policies and protocols with the aim of securing and maintaining the privacy of all documents and data
  • Assigned tasks beyond the usual responsibilities

Physical Demands:

  • Proficiency in transferring merchandise from the store's receiving area to the shelves, as well as the ability to arrange products weighing up to 45 pounds at varying heights on the shelves
  • Performing various physical actions such as standing, sitting, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and walking frequently is expected in the store
  • Regardless of the need or availability of accommodations, the employee must be able to execute their duties

Qualifications:
