Hawkins Dentistry in White Salmon, Washington is seeking a detail-oriented enthusiastic Patient Care Coordinator to join its team. The practice is committed to providing exceptional dental care in a positive, supportive, and patient-centered environment.

As Patient Care Coordinator, you will be the friendly face and voice of the practice, playing a vital role in creating a welcoming experience for patients, from their first call to their follow-up care. You will guide patients through their dental journey and help them achieve optimal oral health.

Key responsibilities

  • Greet and check patients in/out with a warm, friendly, and professional demeanor.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments efficiently and accurately.
  • Present and explain treatment plans, including financial arrangements and insurance benefits.
  • Answer multi-line phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain patient records with precision and ensure patient confidentiality and data protection.
  • Coordinate referrals to specialists and follow up with patients on their treatment progress.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including preparing forms, managing faxes and scans, and keeping the reception area organized.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally and empathetically.
  • Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Tech-savvy with basic computer skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly
  • A compassionate, empathetic, and patient-focused attitude.
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a dental or medical office setting.
  • Experience working with Dentrix.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology and insurance processes is a plus.
