The Rural Carrier Associate plays a vital role in the efficient delivery of mail and packages to rural areas. Duties

  • Deliver mail and packages to designated rural routes in a timely manner.
  • Operate vehicles such as box trucks and manual transmission vehicles safely.
  • Load and unload mail and packages, ensuring proper handling of items.
  • Utilize equipment such as pallet jacks for efficient movement of heavy loads.
  • Perform heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries and returns.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety protocols while driving and handling mail.
  • Assist with moving items as needed within the delivery area.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Experience in commercial driving preferred, including familiarity with delivery driver responsibilities.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely.
  • Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and moving items frequently throughout the day.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage delivery schedules effectively.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining communication with team members.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Personal vehicle may be required.
