Job Overview

This Senior Customer Service Representative role is a full-time position that offers the flexibility of remote work for candidates located in the Central or Mountain Time Zones. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for addressing and resolving healthcare claim inquiries from providers, ensuring that all interactions are handled with professionalism, empathy, and a deep understanding of our services and policies.

Our comprehensive onboarding process includes 5 weeks of intensive training, designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in this position. During this period, you will work an 8-hour shift between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm CST, Monday through Friday. Post-training, you will have the flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm CST, with occasional overtime or weekend work as required by business needs.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Review and research incoming healthcare claim calls from providers, navigating multiple computer systems and platforms to verify necessary data for processing, including pricing, prior authorizations, and applicable benefits.
  • Engage with providers through active listening and appropriate questioning to identify and resolve issues, documenting all interactions in our computer systems.
  • Communicate effectively and collaboratively with providers, using clear and simple language to ensure understanding and resolution of queries.
  • Meet performance goals in efficiency, accuracy, quality, and attendance, contributing to the team's overall success and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications and Skills

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Proficiency in computer and Windows PC applications, with the ability to learn new and complex systems.
  • Flexibility to work any 8-hour shift schedule during our business hours, with potential for occasional overtime or weekend work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year of experience in a related environment, such as office, administrative, clerical, customer service, or healthcare, with proficiency in using phones and computers as primary job tools.
  • Prior experience in healthcare, which could be beneficial in understanding the nuances of healthcare claims and services.
