Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Host/Server to join our team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, a passion for the food industry, and the ability to create memorable dining experiences for our guests. This role involves both hosting duties and serving responsibilities, ensuring that every guest feels welcomed and well taken care of.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and seat guests promptly with a warm and friendly demeanor.
  • Provide detailed menu information, including daily specials, and assist guests with selections.
  • Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
  • Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to tables while maintaining high standards of service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change.
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe dining environment.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and address any guest concerns promptly.
  • Foster positive guest relations by addressing inquiries or complaints in a professional manner.

Skills

  • Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a busy environment.
  • Previous culinary or restaurant experience is highly desirable, particularly in fine dining settings.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations for cash handling purposes.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and team members.
  • Experience in upselling techniques to enhance guest experience while increasing revenue.
