<strong>NorthStar Academies in Kissimmee, FL is seeking a FT Para Professional for Main Street High School.<br><br></strong><strong>Job Summary<br><br></strong>The Para Professional works under the supervision of the highly qualified classroom teacher and the School Principal. This person assists in implementing instruction and related services. Such assistance may include: providing instructional assistance, guiding additional practice opportunities, re-teaching, and monitoring behavior. The Para Professional assists the instructional team in order to meet the needs of all students. The building of relationships is a critical component of this learning environment, the team works together to identify student needs that may be barriers to success. Para Professionals collaborate with team members to analyze different means of meeting student needs and communicates with students, parents, and other team members about student progress and plans for next steps.<br><br><strong>Essential Para Professional Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Implement school and district policies and procedures;</li><li>Establish and maintain working relations with colleague;</li><li>Assist teachers in their teaching duties and other general responsibilities such as but not limited to organizing teaching materials and offering reinforcement activities;</li><li>Reinforce lessons by reviewing material one-on-one and in small groups with students;</li><li>Prepare the class before commencement of session, preparing presentations and projects;
