Responsibilities

Position Summary

The Operations Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) Specialist will assist in the daily administration and pilot assistance/trouble shooting of PSA's EFB iPad program.

Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with the Fleet Management team for sustainment of the EFB program and refresh when applicable
  • Respond to EFB user calls/emails for the purpose of troubleshooting
  • Monitor ongoing FAA regulatory compliance of EFB program
  • Collect user feedback and track trends for the purpose of program modification
  • Work with American Airlines EFB Managers and third party vendor to ensure quality and stock of EFBs and associated equipment
  • Assist with the administration of the document control management tool
  • Assist in the database management of Comply, Jeppesen, and WSI, including periodic storage management/standards
  • Assist with deployment and operational testing of Applications, Betas, and iOS updates, including the research of trends and new features associated with updates
  • Assist with the formatting and dissemination of information via the EFB, ensuring consistency in documentation
  • Assist in the processing of returned items
  • Assist in the training and management of access for New Hire (NH) pilots with the EFB
  • Assist working with IDM and American to resolve issues with NH Pilot classes
  • Responsible for the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs
  • Performs other duties as assigned



Position Specifics

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with document retention
  • Demonstrated knowledge in developing process and controls
  • Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office programs
  • Experience with telephone conferencing and email communication
  • Ability to speak/read/write in English
  • If hired, must be able to demonstrate that you are authorized to work in the U.S.


Preferred

  • Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM)
  • Experience with Apple iPad iOS
  • Experience with Jeppesen digital charting software (JeppFD-Pro)
  • Experience with document control management
  • Aviation education

Supervisory: This is not a supervisory position.Delegation: In absence, responsibilities delegated to EFB Program Manager. Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, facsimile machines and filing cabinets.
