About the Role:

As a Senior Analyst, Market Insights, you’ll play a key role in transforming data into insights that drive business strategy and action. You’ll work collaboratively across teams to uncover market trends, consumer and customer behavior, and category dynamics – bringing a mix of technical expertise and business acumen to the table. Your analyses will power decisions across product, sales, and innovation, especially.


What You’ll Do:

  • Analyze syndicated retail data (e.g., Nielsen/NIQ, IRI/Circana) to track performance, identify trends, and uncover growth opportunities
  • Leverage consumer panel data (e.g., Nielsen OmniShopper, Numerator) to understand shopper profiles, behaviors and loyalty
  • Create dashboards and tools using business intelligence platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to enable self-service insights and/or automate reporting and ensure clarity and accuracy of reporting
  • On-going spot-checking and data validation to diagnose issues in data and proactively resolve (will require SQL knowledge to do most effectively)
  • Synthesize data from multiple sources to deliver strategic insights that drive business decisions
  • Present complex data through simple, compelling visuals and stories to influence decisions at all levels of the organization
  • Partner cross-functionally to fulfill ad hoc data requests, ensuring the right questions are addressed
  • Build relationships cross-functionally to anticipate business needs, design bespoke analyses, and deliver data-driven and actionable insights
  • Invest time with external partners to ensure we’re extracting value and data accuracy
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift and new challenges emerge regularly
  • Co-own a visual roadmap for analytics that is continually refined and communicated
  • Surface emerging trends and white space opportunities through creative, proactive analysis
Requirements

What You Bring:


  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher with a concentration in Psychology, Math, Business Administration, or Economics preferred but open to any candidate with a strong track record in analytics
  • 3+ years of experience in a market or business analytics role, ideally within consumer-packaged goods (CPG); pet food experience is a plus but not required
  • Hands-on experience with syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI, SPINS, etc.) and consumer panel data (Numerator, GfK, etc.)
  • Proven experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
  • High proficiency in storytelling with data—making the complex simple and the insights actionable
  • Curious and creative problem-solver
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills—you ask great questions, listen well, and adapt your approach to different audiences
  • Working knowledge of SQL a strong plus
  • Detail-oriented, resourceful, and comfortable with ambiguity
  • A self-starter mindset with a bias for action and a drive to make an impact
  • Bonus: Experience with survey design/execution or qualitative research methods
