  • Trailer Service Mechanic Overview:
  • The Trailer Service Mechanic is responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and inspections on our fleet of flatbed trailers. This role requires a keen attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality. The ideal candidate will have experience working with various types of trailers and a strong understanding of mechanical systems.

  • Trailer Service Mechanic Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance on flatbed trailers, including but not limited to, brake systems, lighting, suspension, and tires.

  • Conduct thorough inspections of trailers to identify and address mechanical issues, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on trailers using appropriate tools and equipment.

  • Collaborate with leadership to prioritize repairs and ensure that trailers are road-ready.

  • Adhere to company safety policies and procedures, promoting a culture of safety in all work activities.

  • Keep the work area clean and organized, ensuring that tools and equipment are properly stored.

  • Assist with other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.

  • Other projects as assigned

  • Trailer Service Mechanic Requirements and Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED required.

  • Successful completion and passing of a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

  • Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience

  • Basic computer skills

  • Excellent customer service skills and communication skills

  • The ability to solve problems and comfort using tools

  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
