We are seeking a SAP ERP Consultant

  • Client (type/ industry) : Japanese Manufacturing 
  • Working Location: Remote (Preferably Ohio, Indiana, Chicago, Kentucky, Michigan
  • Expected Working Hours: A minimum of 50 hours per month (Monday to Friday, during business hours)
  • Employment Type : Part-time, Non-exempt 
  • Salary :$65-70/ Per hour 
 
  1. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Managing and performing SAP ERP and other systems-related requirement analysis, proposals, design, implementation, and operation for our key accounts.
  2. Overseeing project execution and ensuring the on-time, on-budget completion of projects which meet or exceed the client's needs and expectations.
  3. Create and maintain documentation of program designs and operation manuals by interpreting instructions and conducting training sessions as necessary.
  4. Analyze client’s SAP B1 ERP and business needs to ensure smooth transition to SAP ERP.
  5. Communicate and negotiate with project stakeholders.
  6. Analyze client inquiries and requirements.
  7. Understand the client’s business processes including manufacturing, purchase, sales, financial process and make documents with related knowledge and experiences such as
  8. Ensuring process integrity within Cost/Inventory and work with team members to resolve process issues.
  9. Having general experience in areas of manufacturing, sales, and purchase operations.
  10. Leading / assisting members of the manufacturing team, collaborating to provide appropriate business support, learning and sharing of best practices, striving for process improvements.
  11. Guaranteeing strict compliance with relevant financial policies and procedures within the section, including the inventory and engineering stock checks.
  12. Assisting Finance Manager, Operations and Plant Manager with the monthly close activity, including, but not limited to financial report preparation, corporate reporting, and manufacturing variances.
  13. Conduct interviews with clients to understand business requirements and system requirements and carry out the requirements definition process.
  14. Coordinate project meetings, responsible for meeting logistics, preparation and taking meeting minutes.
  15. Timely preparation of quality correspondence both with internal team members and external contacts, as applicable.
  16. Assist with creation of PowerPoint presentations, market reports and analyses, compiling applications and drafting proposals.
  17. Assist in community engagement through identification of key stakeholders and coordinating meeting scheduling and logistics.
  18. Assist in creating project schedules, budgets and financial proformas.
  19. Maintenance of accurate and organized project files both internal and to be shared externally with partners, consultants, and financing parties.
  20. Assist in managing the development budget and tracking costs as they reflect actuals and projections.
  21. Support Project Managers in the management of internal and external teams by tracking tasks, follow ups and ensuring the project schedule is being met.
  22. Assist Project Managers in coordinating with internal and external teams on project oversight as applicable.
  23. Assist Project Managers throughout financial closing and conversion processes to ensure accurate file management, scheduling, and task completion.
  24. Assist in coordinating and providing client training as required. 
 
  1. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
    1. Provide the support service at the service operation time, which is instructed by the client and/or company management.
    2. Have proactive communication with clients and company management.
    3. Understand requirements and instruction/company management and provide the service based on the requirements and instructions, including BYOD.
    4. Read and understand any company provided documents and training.
    5. Submit company required report, attendance for requested meeting, training course.
    6. Mentor and train new team members if necessary.
    7. Follow team manager’s request/instruction.
 
  1. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:    
  1. Minimum 3~5 years of consulting experience.
  2. Project management and Program management skills.
  3. Analytical skills regarding requirement definitions, development, implementation of SAP ERP and other system applications, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
 
  1. SKILLS:   
  1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
  2. SAP Application Associate certifications are preferred.
  3. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  4. Expertise in SAP Modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, CRM, SAP S/4HANA, etc.
  5. Effective English communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  6. Japanese Language is preferable.
  7. Strong industry experience within Manufacturing.
  8. Expert knowledge of industry specific best practices.
  9. Excellent communication, planning and organization skills.
  10. Strong customer relationship skills.
  11. Ability to establish priorities and work independently.
