About the position

The Maintenance Services Engineer Manager at Emerson Power & Water Solutions is responsible for leading a team of engineers in delivering distributed control and SCADA system services to a major customer in the San Diego area. This role involves managing engineering support activities for wastewater facilities, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, and fostering a positive work environment for team members.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the engineering support activities for wastewater facilities with Emerson Distributed Control Systems and SCADA Systems.
  • Interface effectively with key customer personnel to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Provide local customer support including system problem resolutions, field services, maintenance programs, and system upgrades.
  • Conduct site investigations and make recommendations for system designs and upgrades.
  • Create and submit required activity and billing reports to customer representatives.
  • Perform monthly project cost reviews and implement efficiency improvement procedures.
  • Manage subcontracts with engineering firms, ensuring financial tracking and delivery of site services.
  • Support financial, efficiency, and quality objectives for the team and customer satisfaction.
  • Supervise and coordinate personnel, equipment, and financial resources to enhance business relationships.
  • Assess employee skills and performance, providing mentorship and training to improve performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years' related experience.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Nice-to-haves

  • OV400 certification and prior Ovation system experience.
  • Experience with PLC, DCS, and/or SCADA.
  • PE (Professional Engineer) or PMP certification is a plus.
  • Past experience working in the water/wastewater industry.
