Essential Responsibilities and Duties

As a Flight Coordinator at Solairus Aviation, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our aircraft scheduling and client services. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Receiving trip requests from clients and working with them to schedule aircraft, while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Providing creative solutions to meet clients' travel needs, while adhering to regulations and policies.
  • Creating detailed flight itineraries for each trip and communicating with clients, their staff, and flight crew and maintenance personnel.
  • Arranging trip logistics and service items, such as:
    • Travel arrangements for flight crew (hotels, rental cars, etc.)
    • Passenger services (catering, ground transportation, etc.)
    • Landing and over-flight permits, airport slots, ground handling, security, and customs clearances for domestic and international destinations.
    • Assisting crew with visas and other international entry requirements.
  • Coordinating aircraft movement with the Pilot in Command to ensure compliance with airspace, airport, and duty time restrictions.
  • Providing flight following to clients and ensuring that all support services are arranged and confirmed per the schedule.
  • Monitoring flight and duty time limitations for flight crews to ensure compliance with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations and Solairus Flight Operations Manuals.
  • Assisting flight crew with trip analysis and planning to determine feasibility, options for fuel stops, crew augmentation, etc.
  • Maintaining a current database of client and flight crew contact information and preferences for each assigned account.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful as a Flight Coordinator at Solairus Aviation, you will need:

Essential Qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Four-year college degree preferred.
  • Proficiency in Solairus flight planning and scheduling software, Microsoft Windows, and Office Software.
  • Ability to interact effectively as a team member with other Flight Coordinators.
  • Strict confidentiality in all cases regarding client information and travel schedules.
  • Knowledge of aircraft dispatch principles and aircraft trip planning principles, including FAA regulations, airport information, and weather monitoring.
  • Ability to quickly learn and assimilate Solairus flight operations standards and policies.
  • Well-organized and meticulous, with the ability to plan and prioritize work with limited supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in flight coordination or a related field.
  • Knowledge of international aviation regulations and procedures.
