Laboratory Technician, Entry id-9404

As a Lab Technician in our Burbank, CA location, you will help formulate and test sealants, coatings, and adhesives at lab and pilot scales, while maintaining accurate records, following safety protocols, and supporting lab upkeep and improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • With direction from supervisor you will formulate sealants, coatings, and adhesive materials on a laboratory (500 grams) and (5 gallons) pilot plant scale

  • Prepare test specimens, and conduct tests such as viscosity, hardness, peel adhesion, and tensile and elongation

  • Follow PPG policies (EHS and others) scrupulously

  • Collect data and record results in an electronic laboratory notebook

  • Maintain a clean work environment, including routine upkeep activities to support the entire team

  • Identify opportunities for improvement and share with team members

Qualifications

  • High school diploma
