Position Details The Community Center within our Parks & Recreation Department is looking to hire Track & Field Coach & Instructor. Our track and field programs run from June 1, 2026 -July 16, 2026. The Track & Field Coach performs a variety of duties related to activity planning, staff training, and scheduling and supervision of a recreational program.

The Track & Field Instructor is responsible for supervision of a program and assists in specific program planning and in the training and supervision of other program staff and volunteers. Primary Duties Track & Field Coach: *Coordinates with full-time, regular recreation staff in the planning and overseeing of a recreation program, i.e., publicity, developing lesson plans and program development, ordering of supplies, scheduling of facility, supervision of facility and program. *Works courteously and effectively with participants, public officials, citizens, contractors, vendors, developers, supervisor, and other employees, both in person and over the telephone; assisting them with a wide variety of information pertaining to City and department

Minimum Qualifications HEAD COACH REQUIREMENTS Previous experience in recreation programming and supervision required. Must be at least 21 years of age. Must be able to work evenings and weekends.

Must be able to pass background check. First Aid and CPR certification may be required. Must possess a valid, current state driver's license at the time of appointment.

INSTRUCTOR REQUIREMENTS Must be at least 16 years of age. Must be able to work evenings and weekends. Must be able to pass background check.

First Aid and CPR certification may be required. Must possess a valid and current state driver's license at the time of appointment. Previous experience in recreation programming and supervision preferred.
