Position Summary
Our distinguished Manager-In-Training (MIT) program provides an opportunity to learn and develop at a prominent company with more than 45 years of expertise. Through a customized interactive program, you'll receive both hands-on and online training for approximately twelve (12) weeks. This program emphasizes various aspects of account management, including:

  • General Training & Comprehension - Master the roles of housekeeper, heavy housekeeper/floor tech, and laundry worker, and learn to operate and instruct others on using a wide range of industrial cleaning machinery.
  • Leadership Development - Assist in staff training, quality control, and in-servicing according to policy, procedure, and regulatory requirements.
  • Policies & Procedures - Lead, support, and provide guidance to ensure quality standards, inventory levels, safety guidelines, and customer service expectations are met, following all relevant regulations and our company policies to guarantee quality housekeeping services are consistently delivered.
  • Reporting - Train in documenting records of income and expenses, inventories, personnel, and equipment for HCSG and Facility management.
  • Training - As a vital part of the Manager's role, learn to oversee training, quality control, and in-servicing, including routine facility evaluations, documenting work quality using QCIs.
  • Leadership - Develop proficiency in key managerial duties such as payroll processing, staffing, coaching, discipline, purchasing, inventory management, and budgeting.
  • Communication - Effectively relay all directives from client managers, building occupants, and administrators to HCSG staff.
  • Safety - Use protective equipment as required. Responsible for the safe usage and mixing of cleaning solutions while ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Report equipment or product needs or malfunctions to supervisors promptly. Meet established standards and follow safety and infection control procedures to maintain a sanitary environment.
  • Punctuality - Demonstrate regular attendance and timely arrival. Complete cleaning assignments as scheduled and respond to paging systems promptly.
  • Customer Experience - Exemplify HCSG by adhering to instructions and displaying courteous and friendly interactions with supervisors, coworkers, and client staff.
  • Resident Experience - Engage positively and respectfully with residents, staff, and facility guests.

Qualifications

  • Possess a positive attitude, the ability to follow verbal and written instructions, and perform regular, repetitive tasks daily.
  • Leadership skills to achieve responsibilities without supervision after completing all requisite training, ensuring safety for oneself and others.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent necessary.
  • Basic computer competence for maintaining records and filing reports, including web-based submissions.
  • Must adhere to work schedules consistently and punctually.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 Vaccination Policies mandated by relevant authorities.
  • Must be capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, pushing or pulling up to 50 pounds, and standing, sitting, bending, and walking for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
  • Must be able to handle food and cleaning products safely.
  • Must reside within the service area.
