Here is an overview of the FHR Rotational Engineering Program:
- Rotations: As a participant, you will go through three engineering rotations, typically lasting approximately 9 months each, potentially in different locations and functional areas within Flint Hills Resources. These rotations may include assignments in areas such as Pipeline Engineering, Environmental, Commercial/Business Development, Integrity, Data Monitoring, Hydraulics, Reliability, and Project Management. This rotational structure enables you to gain exposure to different aspects of the business and develop a well-rounded skill set. At the end of the 3 rotations, you will continue in a permanent position further developing your skills and building your career. Probable locations may include FHR Terminal locations in the Midwest, Corpus Christi, TX, Dallas, TX, Port Arthur, TX, Wichita, KS, or St. Paul, MN. Relocation assistance will be provided for each rotation.
- Project Work: During each rotation, you will be assigned to specific engineering projects that align with the business unit's goals and objectives. You will work on designing, implementing, and optimizing engineering solutions, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence, improve efficiency, and drive continuous improvement. This experience will enable you to apply your engineering knowledge and problem-solving skills in real-world settings.
- Learning and Development: The FHR Rotational Engineering Program provides learning and development opportunities to enhance your technical and leadership skills. You may have access to training sessions, workshops, and seminars to develop your engineering expertise and gain a deeper understanding of the energy industry.
- Mentoring and Networking: Throughout the program, you will have the opportunity to connect with experienced engineers and professionals within Flint Hills Resources. You may be paired with a mentor who will provide guidance, support, and career advice. Networking events and activities will also be available to help you build relationships with colleagues across different functions and business units.
- Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Flint Hills Resources emphasizes a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. As a participant in the program, you will be encouraged to identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and sustainability. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- BS in Mechanical Engineering with graduation date in 2025 or earlier
- Willing to rotate to new role/location as described in this posting

The actual amount may be higher or lower than the range provided considering each candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location. For this role, we anticipate paying $80,000 - $95,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
