About the position

Flint Hills Resources is seeking a dedicated and analytical professional to join our team as a Credit Analyst. This role offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your financial acumen and risk management skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a Credit Analyst, you will own a portfolio of customers, evaluating their creditworthiness through detailed financial statement analysis and risk assessment procedures. You will continually analyze financial data, counterparty risk, and the risk versus reward of business activities. Your role will involve communicating findings and making recommendations to business partners, monitoring business activity against approved limits, and identifying credit mitigation solutions to enable profitable business activity. Additionally, you will partner with various groups across the organization to improve data accuracy, increase credit risk visibility, and optimize processes, all while adhering to the principles of Principle Based Management and the Koch Risk Philosophy. This position will report to the Credit Manager and be based onsite at our headquarters in Wichita, KS. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with and learn from a team of finance analysts, enhancing your professional development and expertise in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Own a portfolio of customers, evaluating creditworthiness through detailed financial statement analysis and risk assessment procedures.
  • Continually analyze financial data, counterparty risk, and risk vs reward.
  • Communicate findings and make recommendations to business partners.
  • Monitor business activity versus approved limits.
  • Identify credit mitigation solutions to enable profitable business activity.
  • Partner with groups across the organization to improve data accuracy and increase credit risk visibility.
  • Optimize processes in line with Principle Based Management and the Koch Risk Philosophy.
