About the position
The Crane Operator position at Dondlinger Construction/Allied Crane, LLC involves a variety of responsibilities centered around the safe and efficient operation of cranes, specifically Hydraulic Rough Terrain and Lattice Boom Crawler Cranes. The role requires the operator to assemble, set up, and inspect the cranes before use, ensuring that all equipment is in optimal working condition. Daily inspections and maintenance are crucial components of the job, as they help to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of all personnel on site. Operators must have a thorough understanding of the capabilities of the cranes they operate, which is essential for planning and executing lifts effectively. In collaboration with a supervisor, the crane operator will plan all picks, which involves determining the best methods for safely rigging and lifting various loads.
These loads can include tools, lumber, concrete forms and decking, rebar, concrete buckets, steel piling, steel and concrete girders, deck panels, and mechanical fixtures. The operator may also be required to perform some labor work as needed, which adds to the physical demands of the position. This role is not entry-level; candidates must possess a minimum of two years of proven experience as a crane operator. The position requires a Class A CDL and NCCCO certification with TLL endorsement, with additional certifications being a plus.
Operators must be able to work at heights and have experience operating a Boom Truck, although this is preferred rather than required. Safety is paramount, and operators must be capable of operating equipment efficiently while adhering to safety protocols at all times. The job also entails enduring frequent exposure to harsh weather conditions, dust, and fumes, making physical resilience an important aspect of the role.

Responsibilities
- Assemble/set-up and inspect Hydraulic Rough Terrain and Lattice Boom Crawler Cranes

Requirements
- 2 years proven experience as a crane operator is required
- Class A CDL is required
- NCCCO with TLL certification is required, additional certifications are a plus
- Ability to work at heights is required
- Capable of operating equipment efficiently with safety in mind at all times
- Must be able to endure frequent exposure to harsh weather, dust and fumes
- Must be over 18 years of age
- Eligible to work in the United States of America - we E-verify!
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Complete and pass pre-employment testing, including a drug screen and a physical capacity test
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Ability to understand the responsibility of safe operating to co-workers and the general public
- Ability to reach and grip constantly
- Ability to stoop and kneel frequently
- Ability to lift 0-25 pounds constantly
- Ability to lift 25-75 pounds frequently
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds occasionally
- Must wear a hard hat, safety glasses and leather hard-soled work boot at all times when on the job-site
