ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

Goldman Sachs Ayco Financial Wellness is where financial advisors come to start their career. Our financial coaches are supported with a robust training program that prepares them to independently work with clients over the phone within their first seven months. The training consists of:

  • Dedicated training team to guide new hires through an initial training period
  • Support through licensing requirements (SIE, Series 7 and Series 66)
  • In-depth technical training on a wide range of financial planning concepts such as:
    • Retirement
    • Investing
    • Budgeting & debt management
    • Employee benefits
    • Insurance
    • Income taxes
    • Education funding
    • Estate planning
  • Practical application of technical training through practice client scenarios

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

Following training, coaches focus on building meaningful relationships with clients, delivering exceptional, personalized financial planning through scheduled phone appointments and inbound conversations. This role is meant for an individual who wants to be client-facing and develop their long-term career as a financial advisor. Continual training will help coaches expand their skills and technical competency beyond their initial training period. Each coach should possess an ownership mindset with a desire to continually develop, learn, and grow professionally.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree
  • FINRA SIE, Series 7 and Series 66 licenses (or as a condition of employment within a defined time after joining the firm)
  • Desire to grow a long-term career as a client-facing advisor at Goldman Sachs Ayco
  • Strong passion for personal financial planning and providing excellent client service via extensive daily client contact
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in order to comprehend, simplify and explain complex financial planning concepts to clients of varying knowledge levels
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong client relationships and foster a collaborative environment with colleagues.
  • Demonstrate integrity and sound judgment when handling highly confidential and sensitive information
  • Ability to multi-task independently in a fast-paced work environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to complete client deliverables accurately and within designated time frames
  • Desire to learn and ability to implement feedback in a positive and constructive manner in pursuit of professional growth

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of a 3.5 GPA
  • Individuals with SIE license, CFP certification, and/or Life, Accident, and Health license
  • Customer service experience
  • Experience with eMoney financial planning software and Salesforce CRM

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this Newport Beach, California, United States-based position is $60,000 - $125,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of the fiscal year-end.
