The Software Product Manager - HMI and Mobile Apps position at Nikola Corporation is a pivotal role that combines technical expertise with strategic vision. The Software Product Manager will be responsible for understanding user needs and pain points by engaging with customers and partners, as well as analyzing data to inform product development. In this role, the Software Product Manager will create the vision and strategy for the human-machine interfaces (HMI) and mobile app products associated with Nikola's vehicles. This includes maintaining the feature backlog and product roadmap, defining and prioritizing product deliverables in collaboration with leadership, and leading cross-functional teams on high-impact projects. The individual will need to anticipate potential bottlenecks, make trade-offs, and balance the needs of the business, customers, and technical constraints to ensure successful product launches. Regular communication with stakeholders, including presenting the product roadmap and status updates to Nikola leadership, is essential. Ultimately, the Software Product Manager will own the success and accuracy of product deliverables, ensuring they meet the high standards expected by the company and its customers.

  • Ability to assess network systems for interoperability ensuring seamless functioning of various networked devices and protocols
