Full Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • General:

 

  • Review daily work generated by revenue auditors and prepare journal entries necessary to book revenue to the general ledger
  • Review staffing levels to maintain full employment. Delegate authority and assign responsibility.
  • Review audit activities with the Director of Finance
  • Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing.
  • Assists with special projects as assigned by management.
  • Coordinates the monthly reconciliation of 1099 information and the annual preparation of these documents.
  • Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and welcoming attitude toward all external and internal guests at all times.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality relative to financial information, operating systems, company policies and procedures, marketing plans, and team member information.
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting
  • Perform various account reconciliations and maintain balance sheet reconciliation records.
  • Manage count, income audit and financial accounting to include accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Maintain inventory control and monthly inventory counts
  • Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and Company policies in an ethical manner and empower and require others to do the same.
  • Keep work area in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule as required by business operations, including late nights, weekends, and holidays; shifts may change.

  • Operating Principles: Ensure at all times operating principles are being adhered to: Clean – Keep all areas clean and pristine; Safe – Follow all safety policies and procedures; Friendly – Use customer courtesy skills of Family Style Service to provide superior guest service; Fun – Be interactive with all internal and external guests while maintaining professional standards.
  • Tools and Technology : Use of computer station, Microsoft office software, casino tracking programs (ABS, IVS, CMS, MAXIMO, Kronos, Stratton Warren, Blackline, Oracle), 10-key calculator, telephone, voicemail, fax machine, PBX system, and photocopier.
  • Licensure : Must be able to obtain and maintain a 1055 Slot/Cardroom/Pari-Mutuel Individual Combo license. Must be at least 21 years of age. Three (3) years of tax returns required.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience: One to three years of related accounting experience with a 4-year degree in related fields

or equivalent work experience.

  • Knowledge: Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records. Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices. Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications. Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Knowledge of gaming laws and regulations.
  • Skills: Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents. Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times. Talking to others to convey information effectively. Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making. Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
