Symple Lending is seeking a LeadGen Data Scientist. As a Scientist, you will help allocate a $1M+ per month marketing budget to optimize the company’s Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC).  The role uses existing partnerships to select the target marketing audience on a weekly basis using machine learning (ML), feedback loops, and balanced heuristics.  The opportunity is to innovate and mature the existing pipeline while building and deploying code packages to support and validate the work.  This ultimately leads to a valuable, data-driven decision framework for selecting and interacting with the right customer audience.  These decisions must be explainable by the Scientist to company stakeholders and external partners.

  •    Develop and maintain scripts in Python to automate data processing and data analysis.
  •    Build within a code package environment.

    3. Analysis and Outcome Review:

  •    Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
  •    Generate visual monitoring with decisions and processes.

    4. SQL and Database Querying:

  •     Reference and critique data within the company Data Lake
  •     Write SQL queries to transform data into useful formats.
  •     Troubleshoot data issues, and maintain data integrity.

    5. Governance and Quality:

  •    Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and quality throughout the organization.
  •    Operate within data governance practices and enforce data security and compliance protocols.
What You’ll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Data Scientist or similar role.
  • Experience in cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to data quality and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Python scripting for data analysis and automation.
  • Experience in deploying production-grade machine learning solutions through tools such as AWS Sagemaker.
