Execute the Final Mile Launch

About Amazon & Our Dominant Culture

Every perfectly packed box in an Amazon fulfillment center ultimately funnels down to one place: the Outbound Ship Dock. This is the roaring epicenter of our outbound supply chain, where millions of packages are sorted, palletized, and loaded onto trucks headed for the customer. If you want high-velocity Amazon jobs where you can see the direct, massive output of your team’s labor, the Ship Dock is where you belong. You will be the final touchpoint before a package hits the highway.

What Our Associates Say: Real Employee Reviews

The Ship Dock is famous for its fast-paced, high-volume environment. One verified employee review states: "The Ship Dock is the most exciting place in the warehouse. You are constantly building pallets and loading trucks, racing against the departure clock. The managers are deeply involved, the team works perfectly in sync, and the benefits you get from day one are lightyears ahead of other warehouse associate jobs." The culture here is deeply rooted in hustle and collective success.

Job Summary

As a Ship Dock Loader, you are responsible for the safe, rapid, and mathematically precise loading of outbound semi-trailers. You will intercept packages coming off the sorter chutes, utilizing extreme spatial awareness to build structurally sound pallets. You will then "fluid load" these boxes or transport the wrapped pallets directly into the trailers. This role requires speed, strength, and a deep commitment to maintaining our unyielding delivery timelines.

Comprehensive Responsibilities

  • Fluid Loading (Wall Building): Manually stack individual packages high and tight inside outbound trailers. Build solid "walls" of cardboard to maximize trailer volume and prevent cargo shifts during transit.
  • Pallet Construction & Wrapping: Intercept packages from conveyor chutes and build heavy, stable pallets (like playing 3D Tetris). Use industrial shrink wrap to secure the pallet tightly.
  • Pallet Jack Operation: Safely operate manual and electric pallet jacks to transport massive loads from staging lanes directly into the semi-trailers.
  • Load Scanning: Scan the final barcode on every pallet or package as it crosses the threshold of the truck, digitally transferring ownership to the transportation network.

Industry-Leading Benefits

Command your future with Amazon's dominant compensation package:

  • Top Hourly Wages: Highly competitive starting pay with massive opportunities for voluntary overtime during Prime Day and the holiday peaks.
  • Total Healthcare: Elite medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage for you and your family on Day 1.
  • Retirement & Education: 401(k) company match and 100% paid college tuition via our Career Choice program.

Requirements

  • Must be 18+ years of age with a High School diploma or GED.
  • Extreme physical capability required; must be able to stand, bend, and lift up to 49 lbs repetitively for 10-12 hour shifts.
  • Ability to work safely in a loud, active environment with constant forklift and heavy equipment traffic.
